The interface of the main application looks much like the Windows Explorer. Choose the drive and directory of the source files and drag and drop the files into the window below. Click a button and recording begins. Easy as pie. Another additional program, Take Two, can back up your PC's hard or other drives to any other drive. But since it only can make an image backup of your entire hard drive, not individual files or folders, I consider it a not very convenient and flexible tool. At least the restore process is better with the ability to choose individual files to restore. An additional application for automating the process of audio recording from a tape, DAT or LP is Spin Doctor. It accesses CDDB Database for adding disc and songtitles, remove pops, clicks, and hisses from tapes and automatically separates tracks. Adaptec's packet-writing application, DirectCD, can write files to a formatted CD-RW, as you would to a hard disk (You should only use pre-formatted CDR's, as the formatting process can take as long as 90 minutes). I would recommend this program for those people, that need all the different standard functions from all methods to burn in one package. If you are a Audio specialist, Mp3 Ripper, or Copy-maniac, you're probably better off with applications specialized for those tasks.
